TNPSC Group 2 exam should be canceled and re-examination should be conducted

by time news

Candidates suffered a lot due to various problems that occurred in the Group 2 and 2A examination conducted by TNPSC on February 25. Tamil Nadu State BJP president Annamalai has issued a statement insisting that the Group 2 examination should be canceled and re-conducted properly despite protesting against it.

In his statement in this regard, the contestants have alleged that there have been many irregularities in the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Group 2 Main Examination held on Saturday 25.02.2023 to fill 5,446 vacancies in Group 2 and 2A posts in Tamil Nadu Government Departments. The invigilators and answer sheets have been delayed for the Tamil Eligibility Test Centers held that morning. In many centers answer sheets have been renumbered.

As the examination has already started late, the contestants have written their answers on the answer sheet without having time to check their marks. Then again they have given the answer sheets in order of serial number. Among these irregularities, the contestants alleged that the answer sheets given to the contestants were already filled with answers to the questions and the invigilators did not allow them to correct them. Due to this, the re-examination is delayed. Hence, the evening exam also started late.

Contenders who have prepared for government jobs for many days have suffered due to mistakes made by the selection board. It is shocking that the Tamil Nadu Civil Service Commission has acted with such carelessness. Even more shocking is the Election Commission’s explanation. “The morning exam is a compulsory Tamil aptitude test. So, just clearing this exam is enough. These marks will not be taken into consideration for ranking,” the exam board has given an explanation. This is the honor given by the examination board to an important examination which is the dream of lakhs of students.

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has said that the ‘compulsory Tamil exam’ is just a ritual and has no value. From the side of the incompetent DMK government, no one has yet given an explanation for this. No one can make the youths who have studied and trained hard for government jobs look worse than this. The youth of Tamil Nadu are angry that all their hard work has been wasted. They are upset that the results of the examination with so many irregularities are not going to be fair.

Not only that, the DMK government, which had promised that the results of the Group 4 examination held in July last year, would be released in February 2023, is still delaying the release of the results. The incompetent DMK government is playing with the future of the youth who work tirelessly and prepare for the government exams.

The DMK, which has engaged all the ministers and officials in the Erode inter-election work and paralyzed the government machinery, should immediately apologize to the affected youth. To restore the confidence of the youth community who have lost faith in the activities of the Examination Board, the Tamil Nadu government should immediately come forward to hold the re-examination as requested by them. Realizing that the competitive examination is not an eye-opener, it is the future of the youth, he said in a statement, “On behalf of the Tamil Nadu BJP, I urge strict measures to be taken to prevent such irregularities and irregularities.”
