Since the end of the war in 2009, the relatives of the missing persons who were handed over to the army and disappeared in the wartime areas in the white skies and disappeared in various ways have been carrying out various protests since 2009.
Thus, in the situation where none of the parties provided appropriate solutions to their protests, they had started a series of vigilance protests in eight districts in the North East since last year 2017.
The attention struggle which was started continuously has passed 2000 days today and they are engaged in the struggle.
140 mothers and fathers lost their lives
Around 140 mothers and fathers who have been involved in continuous protests in search of relatives have died and they are continuing to fight for their justice.
In this situation, the continuous protest which started on the 8th of March 2017 in Mullaitivu district has crossed 2000 days, today (30), which is the International Day of Disappeared Persons, a large number of people gathered in the Pudukudiripu Nagar area to insist on a just international investigation of what happened to their relatives.
