Today the German group, Tokio Hotel announced that his concert in Mexico City has been canceled. This was scheduled at the Olympic Velodrome for tonight.
According to a statement shared by the band on their social networks, the cause of this was the promoter Cacique Entertainment who, they mention, breach of the promoter.
“It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the cancellation of the Tokio Hotel concert scheduled for today, Friday, December 6, 2024 at the Olympic Velodrome in Mexico City. this decision has been made due to causes beyond the control of the venue and due to the failure of the promoter Cacique Entertainment to comply with the guidelines required to carry out this presentation,” reads their networks.

For its part, the promoter reported that the band’s team refused to perform elsewhere in the Historic Center as, according to them, people from the Velodrome reported that the concert could not be held.
“After an arduous search and once the corresponding permits, rights and payments were processed, on Wednesday, December 4, we confirmed to Tokio Hotel the new venue (Mesones 72), which they approved and requested that we announce it yesterday at 10 p.m. :30 hours (GMT-6)”, reads his Instagram account.
“It should be noted that at all times we comply in a timely manner with the contractual obligations with the group, including the settlement of their fees two weeks ago (without the right to reimbursement). Simultaneously occurring, we fully complied with the demands of both Management and the band in question, including the statement about the new venue that they themselves provided to us and that in the end they asked us to eliminate it,” they added.
