TRENTO. Sauerkraut and Luganega objects of ministerial recall and withdrawal from the market for reasons relating to food safety.

The provision relating to is dated October 18th a batch of Trentino seasoned Luganega, 200 gram pack, produced by the company Meggio Roberto e C. snc with headquarters in Grigno, Valsugana: it was withdrawn from the market by the Ministry of Health due to microbiological risk. In fact, traces of salmonella were detected in the product.

Anyone who purchased the product must avoid consuming it and return it to the point of sale. The recalled lot is 220824 and the warning was published on the website of the ministry of health. The identification mark of the production plant is CE IT 9 334 L.

Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause from simple gastrointestinal tract disorders (fever, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea) to more serious clinical forms.

Instead it bears the date of yesterday, Tuesday 22 October, the provision relating to the withdrawal of seasoned organic sauerkraut Val di Gresta products from an agricultural company based in Mori, Gelmini: in this case the recall concerns the presence beyond the legal limits, in cumin, of pyrrolizidine alkaloids, a vegetal element present in plants.

In this case there are two lots involved, both 500 gram packs: 100727 – 270327, expiry dates 10.7.27 and 27.3.27.

In the photos, images of the labels of the two products, attached by the ministry in the statement inviting citizens not to consume and to return the indicated lots to the seller.
