The Brazilian trade balance recorded a trade surplus of US$2.403 billion in the third week of October 2023. According to data released this Monday, 23rd, by the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC) , the value was reached with exports of US$ 7.598 billion and imports of US$ 5.194 billion.

Until the third week of the month, the surplus accumulated in October reached US$6.301 billion. For the year, the balance is positive at US$77.555 billion.

The daily average of exports registered an increase of 2.1% in the 3rd week of October, with an increase of 1.12% in agriculture, a decrease of 7.17% in the manufacturing industry and an increase of 30.55% in products from the extractive industry .

Imports fell 19.7%, with a drop of 26.52% in agriculture, an increase of 11.18% in the extractive industry and a drop of 21.94% in products from the manufacturing industry, always in comparison using the daily average.
