Erode District Satyamangalam Asanur and Talawadi hills are located at an altitude of about 1000 m above sea level. It has been raining extensively in the Talawadi hills for the last few days. In this situation, heavy rains in Mavallam and Kottadai areas near Asansur this evening caused red rain water to overflow in the streams and ditches in the forest area.

Similarly, heavy rains in Neydalapuram and Chikkahalli areas near Talawadi caused floods in the forest. Due to this, on the road from Talawadi to Thalamalai, the ground bridge near Chikkahalli was submerged and the traffic was affected for about 2 hours. The hill people could not cross the causeway. Due to the continuous heavy rains in Asanur and Talawadi hills, there is severe cooling in the area.
