During the night, the snow storm caused traffic problems. During the morning, a traffic accident occurred on the E4 at the height of Märsta. Five cars are involved. Two people have been taken to hospital, but are not considered to have life-threatening injuries. Some of the cars need to be towed and one lane, in the northbound direction, is completely closed.
– It is extremely slippery at the site, so you have to be careful, says Per Fahlström, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.
In the afternoon, the road was completely open again.
In Uppland county, several single-vehicle accidents have occurred where cars have driven off the road. In several places, trees have fallen across the roadway.
No one is said to have been injured.
– The worst has been around Norrtälje, says Christer Eriksson, management operator at rescue center Mitt.
