Trendyol, one of the world’s leading e-commerce platforms, has opened its first office in Baku, Azerbaijan. This step reflects the commitment and confidence of the Turkish company Trendyol in the Azerbaijani market.

“Our brotherly country, Azerbaijan, has created the conditions through which we have achieved significant success in an extremely short time. Sharing a common cultural heritage and firmly believing in the strength and potential of this country, we have always felt at home here,” said Erdem Inan, Group CEO Trendyol.

Since the Trendyol platform entered the Azerbaijani market in 2023, it has become the most downloaded and widely used e-commerce platform in the country. In just 18 months, Trendyol acquired almost 2 million customers.

“From the very beginning of our international expansion, it has been important to us to unlock the potential of the new markets in which we operate, while making a meaningful contribution to the development of the local digital ecosystem. We see the huge potential of this dynamic market and are excited to offer even more innovative solutions, services and opportunities for our Azerbaijani clients and partners,” noted Erdem Inan. “Trendyol is committed to helping increase trade volumes with Azerbaijan. With the support of the Baku office and strengthening our operations in Azerbaijan, our goal for 2028 is to achieve $1 billion in trade volume, sell 60 million products and reach 3 million customers.”

Trendyol has entered into a strategic partnership with PASHA Holding. By combining PASHA Holding’s extensive market experience in various sectors and Trendyol’s strengths in technology, logistics and manufacturing, this partnership contributes to the creation of a digital bridge between Turkey and Azerbaijan, as well as the development of the e-commerce ecosystem in Azerbaijan.

“We are very pleased that players such as Trendyol are gradually entering the economy of our country and are proud of our cooperation with this company. We congratulate Trendyol on the opening of a new office and sincerely believe that our cooperation will be successful,” said Jalal Gasimov, Chief Executive Officer of PASHA Holding.

To further develop the digital ecosystem in Azerbaijan, Trendyol will provide comprehensive digitalization training programs to various partners.

In collaboration with various business representatives, development partners and government agencies, Trendyol has also launched significant social projects aimed at supporting digitalization, quality education, and women’s empowerment.

As the first Turkish e-commerce company with a comprehensive roadmap and action plan for sustainable development, Trendyol will also participate in the COP29 summit in Baku, which will provide a significant opportunity for further learning and collective efforts to combat global warming. In the run-up to COP29, Trendyol has been actively involved in a number of awareness-raising initiatives.
