Trouble in AIADMK-BJP Alliance: Former Ministers’ Failed Meeting with Amit Shah and JP Natta

by time news

AIADMK ex-ministers had planned to go to Delhi to meet Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India, but the meeting did not take place yesterday, according to reports. However, it has been revealed that they met with BJP leader JP Natta last night. The internal conflict between AIADMK and BJP has escalated in recent days, with BJP leader Annamalai constantly criticizing AIADMK and its party leaders. In response, AIADMK members have been speaking out against Annamalai on various platforms and in press conferences, creating a disharmony among the party volunteers.

In light of these tensions, AIADMK former minister Jayakumar announced a few days ago that there is no longer an alliance with the BJP. This decision was celebrated by both AIADMK and BJP workers, who expressed their joy through posters and firecrackers.

While Jeyakumar had publicly declared the end of the alliance, Sellur Raju, another AIADMK member, recently stated that Narendra Modi would be the Prime Minister again, causing further confusion. The party is currently protesting against Annamalai’s remarks, where he claimed that Modi, Amit Shah, and JP Natta hold their party in high regard.

Adding to the uncertainty, the anti-corruption department of the Tamil Nadu government has registered cases against several AIADMK veterans and is conducting raids. Some party members believe that by severing ties with the BJP, they may attract the attention of the central government’s enforcement and income tax departments. As a result, political analysts argue that the AIADMK is struggling to reconcile its alliance with the BJP.

The recent attempt by five former AIADMK ministers, namely SP Velumani, Thangamani, KP Munusamy, Natham Viswanathan, and CV Shanmugam, to meet Amit Shah and JP Natta in Delhi further complicates the situation. However, they were unable to meet Amit Shah and reportedly met with Minister Piyush Goyal and JP Natta instead. It is claimed that the meeting with Natta lasted only 10 minutes and that Annamalai’s actions during the meeting did not sit well with the AIADMK members, causing unnecessary confusion within the alliance. However, another party disputes this claim, stating that the AIADMK ministers did not meet Natta at all.

In conclusion, the AIADMK-BJP alliance remains uncertain, and the true state of their relationship can only be confirmed through an official announcement by the AIADMK leadership. The conflicting reports and internal disputes within the party are leaving supporters and political observers questioning the future of the alliance.
