Christmas Eve 2023 will not be very different from last year on television. The networks are once again using their usual content for December 24. Classics like ‘Telepasión’, which is now 33 years old since its first special, or marathon musical galas, like the one broadcast by Telecinco, flood the ‘prime time’ of the most family-friendly night of the year.

The presenters start singing
The second edition of ‘Telediario’ advances its broadcast with the King’s Christmas speech and, later, the most classic Christmas Eve program, ‘Telepasión’. Under the title ‘Nobody is perfect’, this special directed by Juan Luis Iborra will be a story full of music and dance that will feature the presentation of Rodrigo Vázquez, Aitor Albizua and Patricia Conde and that, once again, will put the faces from RTVE to sing. Madrid, Toledo, Benidorm, Seville and Barcelona are the settings where the choreographies are developed.
Shortly after 10:00 p.m., the singer Pablo López stars in his own monographic special, in which he will review the great songs of his career accompanied by friends and colleagues such as Manuel Carrasco, Sebastián Yatra, Raphael, Ana Belén or Niño Raro. And then, ’30 years with you’ in which Camela, the kings of tecno-rumba, will sing with Taburete, El Arrebato, Rubén Martín, María Peláe, Pastora Soler, Beret, Alaska and Vicco. A special karaoke of ‘Journey to the center of TV’ ends on Christmas Eve, which will take a tour of the great songs of the 20th century. In the afternoon, the legendary ‘Know and Win’ prepares a special with Christmas questions to celebrate Christmas Eve. Starting at 9:15 p.m., La 2 will start a theme night with more than six hours of humor. It begins with a special ‘How we laugh!’ dedicated to Eugenio and then the premiere of ‘El Trono del humor’ will follow, an installment inspired by ‘Game of Thrones’ that will search for the best comedian.

The best of ‘Your face sounds familiar to me’
There will be no big surprises in Antena 3’s programming for Christmas Eve. The channel advances its news to 8:30 p.m. to then give way to Felipe VI’s Christmas message. Next comes ‘The Best of Every House’; a selection with the most fun, shocking and surprising images that have been offered on Atresmedia channels during 2023. The music and television show of ‘Christmas Eve with your face sounds familiar to me’ puts the finishing touch to the most family-friendly night of the year , with a review of the best performances in the history of the program and the most exciting and fun moments.

Christmas Eve with Julia Roberts
The monarch’s Christmas speech opens the December 24 programming on Cuatro. After a brief special delivery of ‘First Dates’ for Christmas Eve, the Mediaset network dedicates a night to the cinema with two of the best-known films by actress Julia Roberts. At 9:30 p.m. ‘Pretty Woman’, a classic of our television, will be broadcast, and then, around 12:05 a.m., another love story: ‘Notting Hill’.

Music until dawn
After the Christmas message from the Head of State, Telecinco offers the gala ‘Christmas Eve with you’, presented by Christian Gálvez and Verónica Dulanto. The program will continue throughout the night and will feature performances by Ana Mena, Blas Cantó, Gloria Trevi, Ana Guerra, Omar Montes, Sergio Dalma, Edurne, Nil Moliner, Ruth Lorenzo, Blanca Paloma, Miguel Poveda, Conchita, Beret, Andy and Lucas, Pastora Soler, Antonio José, Marlon, Lérica, José Mercé, David DeMaría, Effect Pasillo, among others. At noon, ‘Socialité’ will broadcast its latest installments presented by María Patiño, in a recorded program that will host interviews with ‘Maldita Nerea’, Melody, Juan ‘El Golosina’ and Toni Genil. ‘Fiesta’, the show hosted by Emma García, also remains on air during Christmas, but will focus its usual content on family dates. Specifically, several chefs will come to the set to cook Christmas dishes and the collaborators will sing in ‘FiestaFest’, a musical competition where they will compete among themselves. On the night of December 25, Telecinco also premieres the daily strip ‘Allá tú’ and the film ‘El rey de Zamunda’.
This Sunday, December 24, La Sexta will host its usual programming dedicated to current affairs and information to offer action films to accompany Christmas Eve dinner. After the King’s speech, the green fly channel broadcasts ‘US Marshals’ (1998), starring actors Tommy Lee Jones and Wesley Snipes; and then, another film session: ‘Glimmer Man’.
