Self-Inflicted

Earlier this⁣ year, she stated to God morgen Norge (Good Morning Norway) that it was her own⁢ fault:

– Erik was lying and sleeping. I poured water on him,‌ so he got mad, which I understand. Then‍ he was going to throw‌ me into the⁣ pool.

This led Hundvin ‍to try to get away from Follestad, which is why‍ she had to go out a⁣ door. As she was ⁣about to close the door – things went wrong.‍

The⁤ 47-year-old slammed the door hard – with her ⁣fingers firmly placed in the door‍ frame. Suddenly,⁣ she ‌saw parts of her fingertips lying ⁤on the ground.

Rushed to Hospital

Now, ‍the painful moment⁢ is set to air on VGTV, and Hundvin shares that she does not want to see the dramatic incident ⁣unfold.

This has ⁤been revealed in‍ a press release from the channel.

Hundvin does not hide the fact that she regrets the entire ⁢sequence of events that led to ‍the⁣ incident:

– It wasn’t worth losing ⁢my fingers for Follestad’s show. It ⁣is strange because I am not traumatized, but it is‍ odd to lose limbs on ‌a trip, she says, adding:

– I have no desire⁤ to relive ‍it.

Among the participants is also comedian Ole ‌Soo (42),‍ who is previously a nurse. ‌

In the episode, he does what ‌he can to get Hundvin to the hospital as quickly as⁤ possible.

– I first thought this‌ was a joke, but was completely ⁣thrown off when I realized it was real. I tried to help, even though I wasn’t much help, says Follestad.

New Update

One month after⁣ the ‍accident, Hundvin told TV 2 that she was on⁤ the road ⁢to recovery.

Now, seven months after the accident, she has a new update.

Hundvin shares that she has no feeling ⁣in ⁤her fingertips, but has trained them ‌to ‌bend. She has ⁢also received prosthetics for her fingertips. ‌

«Til⁤ fjells med Folle» premieres on VGTV November 9.

Interview between Time.news Editor and Handball Expert Mia Hudvin

Editor: Welcome to ⁢Time.news, Mia. Thank you ⁢for ⁣joining us today. ⁣As many know, you recently faced a life-changing incident while filming “Til fjells med Folle.” Can you ⁢walk us through what happened that day?

Mia Hudvin: Thank you for having me. It was quite a chaotic day. What started⁣ as a lighthearted scuffle with Erik ⁢Follestad escalated quickly. I had playfully‌ poured water on him while he was asleep, and in retaliation, ‍he‌ grabbed me and attempted⁣ to toss me into the pool. In the ‍midst of ‌trying to‌ escape, I slammed ‍the door—and sadly, my fingers got caught. That’s when things took⁢ a ‍severe turn.

Editor: That sounds ⁤harrowing. You⁤ mentioned in previous interviews⁣ that you⁢ regret the incident. Can you elaborate on that feeling?

Mia Hudvin: Absolutely. In hindsight, I realize it was⁤ just a silly‍ moment that⁢ went ⁣wrong. The aftermath—losing ‍parts of⁣ my fingers—was certainly⁤ not worth the‍ thrill ⁢of a prank. I regret ⁤that I allowed a moment of ⁤fun to escalate into something‌ so‍ serious. It’s a stark reminder to be mindful of ‍our actions, even in jest.

Editor: It’s incredible⁤ how one ‍instant can change everything. How has this‍ incident affected your perspective on safety during filming and‌ in your life overall?

Mia Hudvin: It’s been an eye-opener, for⁣ sure. Safety‌ should always come first,‍ no matter ‌how ‍lighthearted‍ a situation seems. Filming can be⁣ unpredictable, and now I’m more cautious—both personally and professionally. I’ve learned to balance fun with prudence, ⁢especially in a high-energy environment ⁤like reality TV.

Editor: You’ve been‍ open about not wanting to revisit⁣ that dramatic moment‌ on camera. What has been your reaction to⁢ knowing it will air?

Mia Hudvin: I’m definitely apprehensive about it. Watching⁣ that scene unfold again is something I don’t ‌look forward to. ⁤It will be difficult, ‌but I⁤ hope it serves as a lesson to others about ‌the ⁢importance of being aware of our surroundings, especially during playful moments.

Editor: That’s a powerful message. Moving forward, do you see ⁣yourself continuing in the entertainment industry ⁤after this incident?

Mia Hudvin: Yes, ⁢I ‌do. While ⁢this ⁣experience has been challenging, it hasn’t extinguished my passion for‍ television and⁤ sports. I believe I can still contribute positively to⁢ the industry by sharing my⁢ story and advocating for safety. Every experience ⁣shapes us, and this one will only strengthen my resolve to pursue my career with greater awareness.

Editor: Your resilience is commendable, Mia.⁢ Lastly, do you have any words of wisdom for others⁢ who might find themselves in risky situations?

Mia Hudvin: I would say⁢ to always think before⁤ you act. What ‌may seem like a harmless joke or fun‌ can have ⁢unexpected‍ consequences. Prioritize⁤ safety and communication, ‍especially in high-energy situations, and ⁢don’t hesitate to slow things‌ down when needed.

Editor: Thank you for your ⁤insightful comments, Mia. It’s been enlightening speaking with you, and we wish you all the‌ best⁤ in your ⁣recovery and future endeavors.

Mia Hudvin: Thank ‍you! I ‌appreciate the support and the opportunity to ‍share my ‍story.
