The nightly talk show directed by Xabier Fortes on TVE’s 24-hour channel has broadcast this week a video with touches of “humor” about the protests that have been repeated in recent days around the socialist headquarters of Ferraz.

One of the journalists who works on the program spread this video on social networks and it has gone viral. It has almost 100,000 views and, as expected, all kinds of comments. “We try to see things with humor, we do what we can,” wrote Estela González, a worker at ‘La noche 24h’.

The video lasts just over two minutes and reviews the protesters who have made themselves known the most in recent days. They begin with cheers for Spain and the announcer states that “defending the homeland is already a risky sport.”

The first of the protagonists of the video is the author of the “for putodefender a España”, who appeared in the image with tears in his eyes as a result of the effect of the pepper spray. Even the RAE explained how this expression should be written. The editorial team of ‘La noche 24h’ had fun with this young man and also with the sexagenarian who went viral when he was treated by an ambulance after suffering the effects of the gas. “Spain has just woken up, sons of bitches,” the man said, looking at the camera and while he held his mask with one hand and pointed with his index finger with the other. On TVE they ‘thanked’ him that he “woke up in a better mood” the next day, when he returned to Ferraz and spoke to the media again.

But the ultras who boycotted the demonstration also sneak into the TVE video. They define them as “people stopping taxis (referring to the raised right arm)”, “recognized Nazis” and “species in danger of extinction.”

And finally, there is also a special mention for the curious. Like several women who come to Ferraz with their reddish fans, those who try to put peace in the middle of a police charge, and the “pseudojournalists who, after making a mess, go home to dinner.”
