Bogota: Two journalists were shot dead in Colombia. The victims were Leaner Montero, the director of an online radio station based in Colombia, and Delia Contreras, the director of an online news website.

The incident took place in northern Colombia. They were traveling in a car and were attacked by a group on a bike. Magdalena Police Commander Andres Cerna said that Montero and several others had clashed before he was killed. After this, Dilia was also attacked on her way back along with another person.

The police said that it is not clear whether media activity was the reason for the murder and the investigation is in progress. The Foundation for Press Freedom demanded that the investigation be intensified.
