Corporación Favorita, El Rosado and the shrimp farm Santa Priscila lead the ranking of companies in the Super de Companias, by 2023 sales.
The Corporación Favorita business group continues to lead the ranking of companies of the Superintendence of Companies, published in June 2024, with sales revenue data for 2023.
Corporación Favorita invoiced a total of USD 2,483 million in 2023, an increase of 5% compared to 2022, and achieved a net profit of USD 165 million. Favorita carries out its economic activities in the commercial, real estate, industrial and service sectors, bringing together 505 commercial premises, 14 shopping centers and 17 distribution centers and industrial plants, according to data published on its website.
Its flagship brand is the Supermaxi supermarket chain. And it owns shopping centers such as Mall del Sol and Mall del Norte, in Guayaquil, and Mall El Jardín, in Quito.
In second place in the ranking is Corporación El Rosado, Corporación Favorita’s main competitor. In 2023, El Rosado reached sales of USD 1,567 million, with an increase of 9.5% compared to 2022. And a net profit of USD 38 million.
The business group owns the Mi Comisariato and Hipermarket supermarket chains, and among its subsidiary companies is Tiendas Tuti, which, being a separate company, is not counted in its income.
He also owns toy store chains, department stores, hardware stores, movie theaters and shopping centers. And it is represented in Ecuador by American restaurant brands such as Chili’s, IHOP, Olive Garden, Carl’s Junior and Red Lobster.
