In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, Uccio pointed out that he was never affected by the comments made about him, which has allowed him to grow professionally: “For some he was Valentino’s friend who didn’t do shit. I’ll be honest with you, if it had affected me, they were right. But since I already knew in advance that those who said those things were not right, it never affected me.”
The team manager of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team has admitted to being happy with Marco Bezzecchi’s decision to continue with his current team, with whom he has established an extraordinary relationship: “When Marco was talked about for a Ducati GP24, and he preferred to stay with us knowing that he had a GP23, his choice made me proud. We could have kept him by exercising the option in our favor, but we wanted the choice to be his. He told me: ‘The value of the group formed in two years is greater than the difference between my motorcycle and the factory motorcycles’. The new contract is only for one year, so it doesn’t become a problem in any way.”
