Uijeongbu City (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) completed the ‘Creating a Cultural Hub Happy Village with Local Residents’ at the Uijeongbu City Gyeonggi Happy Village Management Center (26, Shinheung-ro 168beon-gil) on November 28 with great response.
This event, prepared by the Gyeonggi Happy Village Management Office as part of a resident exchange program, was designed to increase solidarity and community spirit among residents and revitalize the village.
Part 1 was a well-received lecture on the topic of cultivating self-esteem and sense of community. In the second part, ‘Sweet Girl’ starring Na Moon-hee was screened as a barrier-free movie that anyone can enjoy (a movie with voice commentary explaining the screen, dialog, and subtitles providing sound data) to raise the satisfaction of residents.added.
An elderly person who participated in the event saeid, “The lecture on improving self-esteem in old age was beneficial, and more than anything, there were not many opportunities for cultural activities, but it was very enjoyable to be able to watch a movie with neighbors at the Happy Village Management Center.”

Meanwhile,uijeongbu City (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) successfully completed the ‘Our family Happy Bakery’ program for 10 months from February to November.
Our Family Happy Bakery was operated for 10 households, including families celebrating birthdays or needing time together.
Every month, we made pizza and cakes at Kubang, a handmade cookie workshop located in Singok-dong, to promote children’s imagination and creativity, and to promote family harmony.
A caregiver who participated in the experience said, “My child’s confidence increased as he made his own pizza and cake,” and “I will definitely participate next year as it is a great program that allows me to eat with my family.”
