Ukraine is bidding to host the World Cup soccer tournament.
As the offensive continues in Ukraine, the government of Ukraine is gearing up to host the World Cup football tournament to overcome the horrors of the war and fulfill the dreams of the people recovering from its impact. Ukraine has launched a joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup with Spain and Portugal. The heads of the three countries’ football confederations are hopeful that it will connect people beyond the world of sport. Andriy Pavelko, president of the Football Federation of Ukraine, said that President Selensky has expressed his support for the plan to host the World Cup.
