Ukraine is ready to make concessions in negotiations with Russia, but Moscow must respond in kind. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba on the air of the Sky News TV channel, the broadcast was carried out on YouTube.

Kuleba said that some people are proposing to “give” something to Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to “contain” him. “How far will we go, give it something to Putin?” He asked.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that the country is practicing a “constructive approach” in diplomacy. “We are ready to make concessions if there is a reciprocal reaction from Russia,” he assured, noting that in a number of fundamental issues for Ukraine’s development, concessions to Moscow are impossible. Among such topics is the country’s integration into the European Union and NATO, Kuleba pointed out.

According to him, the conditions put forward by Russia should be legal and rational, while Moscow demands to abandon the conduct of an independent foreign policy, which is not legal. “The red line of Russia is the border of Russia. Nobody has the right to cross this border and we completely agree with this, ”the minister added.
