Ukrainian journalist Tsymbalyuk announced his departure from Russia

Roman Tsimbaliuk, a Ukrainian journalist of the Unian agency, announced his departure from Russia due to a threat to his personal safety.

“I left the Russian Federation because I believe that there is a threat to my personal safety,” the journalist said in an interview with Hromadske.

In December, the RT TV channel, citing a law enforcement source, reported that Tsimbalyuk had been summoned for interrogation to the Moscow prosecutor’s office on the case of inciting hostility and hatred towards Russians.

“And now they are allegedly saying that they have withdrawn the summons for interrogation (to the Moscow prosecutor’s office. – Ed.), But this does not mean that it will not be there again,” Tsymbalyuk noted.

Tsymbalyuk has been working in Moscow as his own correspondent for “Unian” for 13 years.
