The Independent International Mission of the United Nations (UN) for Venezuela declared that there are well-founded reasons to believe that the government administration of Nicolás Maduro committed “crimes against humanity” before, during and after the electoral elections on December 28. Finally, it was detailed that during the Venezuelan electoral elections, the repression expanded, affecting not only opposition leaders, but also “ordinary citizens, simply for demonstrating their disagreement with the Government or with the results of the presidential elections announced by the authorities.” .
