The results obtained today result from a “stable economic equation” and several reforms undertaken aimed at improving the legal and regulatory framework for business, he noted, emphasizing some achievements, notably the Port Tanger Med, the first and only high-speed connection on the African continent and the development of cutting-edge industries, particularly automobiles and aeronautics.
The diplomat also highlighted the unfailing resilience shown by Morocco, under the far-sighted leadership of the Sovereign, noting that “the Kingdom faced great challenges with determination and a unique sense of solidarity which aroused the admiration from all over the world.
And to recall, to this end, the distinguished management of the Covid-19 crisis, following which the World Health Organization placed Morocco in the list of Top 10 countries in terms of optimal management of the crisis, as well as the earthquake that shook the Al Haouz region, which Morocco “faced with its own national resources and with admirable efficiency”.
Mr. Balla also emphasized the special attention paid by HM the King to Africa, which is “the natural extension of Morocco”, which was reflected in “the visits carried out by the Sovereign to the countries of the continent during which he worked to promote and consolidate partnerships, with the aim of strengthening the integration mechanisms of our continent.
The ambassador also highlighted the dynamism of Moroccan diplomacy, which “is distinguished by its serenity and its roots in history”, specifying that “thanks to the foresight of HM the King, Moroccan diplomacy has been constantly revitalized and renovated, contributing to providing responses to major global challenges, and to the quest for peace, stability and prosperity between peoples.
“As a result, Morocco appears on the top 50 list of soft-power countries, in recognition of its influence and leadership,” he noted.
Concerning relations between Morocco and Italy, the diplomat assured that these relations “historic and based on mutual respect and convergence on several subjects of regional and multilateral interest have experienced a qualitative leap”, since the accession of HM the King to the Throne of His glorious ancestors.
