TRENTO. The activity of the Carabinieri of the Riva del Garda Company continues on the ski slopes of the ski area Madonna di Campiglio – Brenta Dolomites. Since the beginning of the year – the force reports – a total of 47 have been checked ski instructors: four were sanctioned for failing to send the communication of temporary practice of the profession to the Province of Trento and they were subject to an administrative fine of €200 each.
Furthermore, it was verified that the various skiers and snowboarders who crowded the slopes had stipulated thethird party civil liability insurance which, starting from 1 January 2022, has become mandatory by law. In this case, compared to 83 tourists who were asked to show their ski passes, 11 people were fined who declared either that they were not in compliance with the insurance or that they had family insurance at home without then providing it. the proof: they too were subject to an administrative fine of 50 euros each.
The checks reveal the carelessness of many people on the track. For example, a skier was fined 50 euros for failing to give way to a skier downstream. Or another ten skiers were fined a total of 500 euros for having skied the route slopes that were closed to the public. Again: two ski mountaineers were fined because they were found going up the ski slopes with skins and without using the appropriate ski lifts, thus creating a danger for skiers coming from upstream. And then the skier was fined for lack of technical ability for having decided to undertake one black track which even appeared to be closed given its danger. The man, in difficulty, called for help. The police, after taking him to the valley, challenged him 330 euro fine.
Curious, so to speak, is the case of a Polish citizen who after leaving a shelter was so drunk that they were unable to even recognize their own skis, taking a pair of women’s ones placed in a completely different area of the refuge. Since the beginning of the season, the staff of the Carisolo stations have carried out 60 rescues, while those of Madonna di Campiglio have carried out 253.
