London: An unexpected draw for Arsenal in English Premier League football. Arsenal drew 1-1 with Southampton at home.

The Gunners faced Southampton after winning eight matches in a row. Arsenal scored the first goal in the match held at St. Mary’s Stadium. It was a shame for Arsenal that they couldn’t capitalize on their chances. Although tied, they are currently two points ahead of second-placed Manchester City. Arsenal have 28 points from 11 games and City have 26 points. Tottenham Hotspur is third with 23 points.

Southampton is in 15th place. Arsenal took the lead in the 11th minute. A good move by Bukayo Saka led to the goal. Ben White’s pass was right-footed by Granit Saka into the net. Arsenal continued to create chances but were unable to double their lead. Southampton slowly worked their way back into the game.

The equalizer was scored in the 65th minute. The counter-attack started by Mohammad Elanozi led to the goal. Elanozzi’s pass was headed home by Stuart Armstrong. Arsenal coach Michael Arteta brought on Tierney, Nkeith and Fabio Vieira to strengthen the attack but to no avail. Aston Villa beat Brentford 4-0, Fulham beat Leeds United 3-2 and Leicester City beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0.
