To BBC and Olly Alexander have decided to raise the suspense until the official reveal of the song that will represent the United Kingdom at this year’s Eurovision.

In a joint post on Instagram, Olly Alexander and BBC Eurovision showed Olly interrupting the BBC Weather Report and explaining what will happen in the coming weeks in his country. Olly has been carrying a number of coded messages – which we can reasonably assume have to do with his song.

Talk about “dizzy spells” (vertigo, dizziness) that will affect the “island” and which they come from Sweden. According to the weather forecast, there will be no end to these ‘dizzy spells’. But it won’t be easy to predict if they’ll continue to go round and round‘) or if they will go back to where they started (‘go back to the beginning‘). At this point Olly reveals that some viewers managed to predict quite a bit from a short clip he had uploaded a few days ago, with letters and numbers. The viewer comments that Olly chooses to show mention the word “Dizzy” as the possible title of his song.

But we haven’t found the solution yet, as Olly warns us. In the enigmatic Weather Report he tells us that we should observe the numbers he has hidden on the map as temperatures (11, 1, 29 and 7) and decipher their meaning. For now, Olly explains that they are a warning for “spikes” expected in the coming weeks.

Until then, Olly stresses to us that he wants us all to look after our beautiful gardens, get close to each other and prepare for conflict.

Along with posting this video, Olly Alexander also shared a story, in which he advertises a (fictional) medication for dizziness called Dizzygon. There is an active one in the story link which leads to a web page where one can pre-register to be notified by email for the release of the song that Olly will sing at Eurovision and pre-save it on the music platform of his choice.

O Olly Alexander will take to the stage in Malmö and represent the UK with one dance track who signs himself together with Danny L Harleproducer of Dua Lipa’s biggest hits!

As it turns out, his song is likely to be called Dizzy the Dizzygon. We look forward to hearing it with great interest!
