Android smartphones than iPhones”/>
The research company Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) published a report according to which Android users change their devices more often than iPhone owners, Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru.
Over the past few years, there has been a trend towards longer iPhone usage. With improved device durability, transparency of installment plans, and fewer innovations, iPhone owners are less likely to replace their gadgets with new ones. Owners of Android smartphones demonstrate a different model of behavior.
Thus, among all smartphone buyers, about a third of new iPhone owners have used their devices for three years or more. At the same time, only 21% of new Android smartphone owners reported that their devices were more than three years old. However, about a third of iPhone owners are replacing their devices that are less than two years old, while 57% of Android smartphone owners are replacing their devices that are less than two years old.
Obviously, Android smartphones become obsolete faster than iPhones. However, Android owners have a wider choice among different manufacturers, and most Android smartphones are cheaper than the iPhone, which reduces the economic and emotional attachment of owners to their devices, analysts say.
