Vaccinations: Casini (PD) ‘Uninformed citizens in the Marche region’ – Health and Wellbeing

(ANSA) – ANCONA, 09 OCT – The anti-flu vaccination campaign will begin in our region on 15 October, but in this regard there are no official communications from the Marche Region, nor is it specified whether it will be possible to protect oneself in a single session both from ‘flu that from covid.
A lack of information that risks endangering the elderly and frail patients: where should they go? At what times? And above all, since when? If Covid-19 is no longer as scary as it was during the lockdown period, it is also true that for some segments of the population it still represents a danger and, more generally, a “simple” seasonal flu can cause great inconvenience, if not downright complications. This is what Anna Casini, the leader of the Democratic Party in the Regional Council, states.
“I therefore consider it necessary – underlines Casini – to take up the appeal issued in these hours by the Italian Society of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health (Siti) in which citizens are invited to actively participate in both the Covid and anti-flu vaccination campaign, relying on the advice of trusted healthcare professionals to protect not only themselves, but also their loved ones and the entire community.
For this reason, as in other regions, it is necessary that in the Marche region the co-administration of the two vaccines is made possible so as to adequately protect the population and at the same time avoid wasting time and resources”.
The dem group leader announces that “Given the total lack of communication (just think that the Marche Region website is still updated to last year) in these hours, together with all the councilors of the PD Marche Group, I have presented a question in which we ask to solve all these problems.” (HANDLE).
