Although his health was not with him, Ventura Pons kept thinking about artistic projects. The author Lluís Anton Baulenas, of whom he adapted two titles to film, was working with him on a different adaptation. “Ventura Pons wanted to take my work to the theater ‘Your Anita (Good works)’, which he himself had already turned into a film years ago,” explained the playwright. “We had worked on the text that had something from the script of the film ‘Anita I didn’t miss the train’. Baulenas sent him his theatrical text. “Pons’ intention was to make an adaptation of the film for the theater. I had absolute confidence in him, but I don’t think he has a successor interested in developing this project. Pons was used to doing everything himself to control everything,” recalls Baulenas. The author, who usually publishes a new work every two or three years, has female protagonists in his works, independent women like Anita, that movie blockbuster that Pons dreamed of taking to the theater.
