Superstar Rajinikanth‘s stardom has suffered a major setback. While her Alia release ‘Vettaiyan‘ has earned decent earnings in its second weekend, there has been no significant increase in the film’s earnings despite Sunday being a holiday. Whereas the expectation was that there would be a big jump in the pace of earnings which had slowed down on Sunday. On the other hand, the good performance of Jr NTR’s ‘Devra’ continued on Sunday also. There has been no significant growth in the business of this film on the 24th day of its release. Directed by TJ Gyanvel, ‘Vettaiyan’ also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati. Thanks to Rajinikanth’s stardom, the film had earned a whopping Rs 104.75 crore in the first weekend of four days. But from the very first Monday its earnings fell to the ground. In such a situation, there was hope that there would be a blast once again in the second weekend. But ‘Vettaiyan’ could earn only Rs 12.45 crore.

‘Vettaiyan’ box office collection day 11
According to the report of sacnilk, ‘Vettaiyan’ has collected a net of Rs 5.35 crore on Sunday, the 11th day of its release. A day earlier on Saturday it had done a business of Rs 4.50 crore. That means there has been an increase of only 18.89% in the earnings on Sunday, which is very less in terms of the stardom of Rajini sir. However, the total collection at the domestic box office is Rs 134.60 crore.
Rajinikanth’s film was badly hit in Hindi, Telugu and Kannada.
The budget of ‘Vettaiyan’ is Rs 300 crore. But the way it met its fate. From Monday it is going to fall to between Rs 1-1.50 crore. In the last 11 days, the film has earned the maximum of Rs 115.01 crore from the Tamil version. Whereas the Hindi version did a business of only Rs 3.89 crore. 15.33 crore from the Telugu version. This is the worst situation in Kannada, where only Rs 37 lakh business has been done in 11 days.
‘Vettaiyan’ Worldwide Collection Day 11
‘Vettaiyan’ still has a long way to go to become a hit at the domestic box office. It seems that the country will not even reach the Rs 200 crore club. The condition of the film is not very good even in worldwide collections. It has earned a gross of Rs 235.25 crore in 11 days at the global box office. Out of this, gross business of only Rs 78 crore has been done abroad.
‘Devra’ box office collection day 24
On the other hand, Junior NTR’s ‘Devra’, which was made with a budget of Rs 400 crore, is in trouble. Despite Sunday being a holiday, it could only collect a collection of Rs 1.90 crore. A day earlier on Saturday, it had earned Rs 1.45 crore. ‘Devra’ has collected a net collection of Rs 285.00 crore in 24 days at the Indian box office. Whereas worldwide it has earned a gross of Rs 416.00 crores.
Big mistake made here by ‘Vettaiyan’ and ‘Devra’
The biggest shortcoming of both ‘Vettaiyan’ and ‘Devra’ has been that both could not find a foothold in the Hindi version. Whereas from ‘Bahubali franchise’ to ‘KGF’ and RRR, it has been clear that the Hindi belt is most important for the huge earnings of films.
