Video game industry hall of fame opened in Russia – Kommersant

Video Game Industry Development Organization (RVI) presented hall of fame dedicated to the achievements of Russian video game developers. It currently consists of seven people, in September the site will vote on the nominations “Legendary video games” and “People who have influenced the industry.”

The Hall of Fame currently exists only as a website, in the future it will also be embodied in the form of art objects and monuments. According to the organizers, the Hall of Fame will “gather the most significant game projects and personalities that have most influenced the industry, from Tetris to Atomic Heart.” RVI hopes to draw attention to the Russian video game industry and support its creative potential.

Now the hall of fame includes the creator of Tetris Alexey Pajitnov, the author of the Dendy console Viktor Savyuk, the head of the Nival company responsible for Allods Online and Heroes of Might and Magic V, Sergey Orlovsky and others.
