Kochi: The High Court has postponed till Friday the hearing of the anticipatory bail application of actor and producer Vijay Babu.
At the request of the inquiry team, the court adjourned consideration of the bail application.
The ADGP, who is in charge of investigating the torture case, requested that the investigation team change its consideration of the case as it remains in the quarantine. The court, which approved the application, adjourned consideration of the bail application to Friday. With this, the ban on Vijay Babu’s arrest will continue till Friday.

During the hearing, the prosecution had told the court that Vijay Babu, who had returned to the state from abroad, needed further questioning. The bail hearing was adjourned to Tuesday.
The court will consider the case of revealing the name of the actress on Facebook Live after the allegations were made and the anticipatory bail application filed by the accused on Friday.
Vijay Babu claims that he had consensual sex and that the actress was complaining when he was denied an opportunity in the film.
Meanwhile, police have questioned actor Saiju Kurup on suspicion of providing financial assistance to Vijay Babu. According to the police, it was Saiju who helped Vijay Babu by giving him a credit card. However, Saiju Kurup explained that the credit card was given to him by Vijay Babu’s wife before the case was filed against Vijay Babu.
The court also directed that Vijay Babu should not meet the complainant or try to influence them in any way and should fully co-operate with the investigation. The court also asked the inquiry team to submit a report to the court after the completion of the interrogation.
The court adjourned consideration of the anticipatory bail application to Tuesday after the prosecution informed the court that Vijay Babu had appeared before the investigating officer and further questioning was required.
The actress has filed a harassment complaint on April 22.
