The members of the musical group Village Peopleled by veteran vocalist Victor Willis, have put thousands of people dancing tonight on the Keler stage on Zurriola beach on the first day of the 58 San Sebastian International Jazz Festivalwhich is held in the Gipuzkoan capital until next Tuesday.
In a declaration of intent, Willis stated at a press conference this Friday morning that they make “music for everyone”, so the key to their concerts is to attend with “want to enjoy” while acknowledging that they are “enchanted” to like “very different” people.
Willis, dressed in his characteristic police suit, has gone on stage along with the rest of the group members, each with their characteristic outfit; James Lee as a military; Jeffrey Lippold like a man dressed in leather; James Kwong in the role of construction worker; Xavier Perez, latest addition to the group, as a Native American Indian; and Nicholas Manelick Like a cowboy from the Wild West.
