A heartfelt tribute from actor Vin Diesel marks 12 years since teh passing of his close friend and colleague, Paul Walker, who died in a car accident on November 30, 2013.Diesel took to social media to share deeply personal reflections on Walker’s life,his dedication to family,and the lasting legacy he left behind.

Diesel took to social media to express his enduring admiration for Walker, particularly highlighting his role as a father. The actor revealed the poignant story behind naming his youngest daughter, Pauline, born in 2015 to Paloma Jiménez, also mother to Hania and Vincent, as a direct tribute to his friend.

“I called her Pauline… She never met her uncle Pablo, but when I call her by her name, I know you are close,” Diesel wrote, alluding to private struggles he has faced in recent years. He continued to share updates on his children, connecting their lives to Walker’s memory.

“Pauline, your namesake, now plays basketball.She wears number 24 and has been MVP this season. I bet you and Kobe Bryant are smiling now,” Diesel shared, referencing the late basketball legend who also passed away in a tragic accident in January 2020. He then spoke of his son, Vincent, affectionately known as “Lil V,” who has blossomed into a young man. “Lil V, that little boy you came to celebrate his second birthday in London… he’s fifteen now. He’s taller than me. He’s growing into a man you’d be very proud of,” Diesel stated.

The actor fondly recalled small, intimate moments with Walker, emphasizing the depth of their connection. “I hold on to the smallest memories. You on set with the Alpha Angel on your lap. SpongeBob on your new iPhone. That smile. You knew it would irritate me, haha… I would give anything to feel irritated by you one more time,” he reminisced.

Diesel also underscored the strong bond between his family and Walker’s daughter, Meadow Walker. “She has been a gift to my children. A true cousin. During the filming of the first Fast, you talked about her with so much admiration in your voice. You showed how sacred fatherhood would be,” he explained. he shared a touching anecdote about a recent encounter with Walker’s mother. “When your mother saw me this summer, she looked at me intently… as if she was looking for you.As if, somehow, through my eyes, she could still find her son,” diesel recounted. “I was right, you know? you were always my other half. I couldn’t have done it without the love of your family.”

Reflecting on the unique connection thay shared, Diesel expressed a longing for the effortless understanding they possessed. “This year,sitting at Thanksgiving,surrounded by my family,I found myself wishing that some of them knew me like you knew me. The way we could sit in silence or communicate without words. Few achieve it in life, but we had it from the beginning,” he wrote.

walker and his friend, Roger Rodas, tragically lost their lives in a high-speed crash in Valencia, California, on November 30, 2013. Walker was a passenger in Rodas’ 2005 Porsche Carrera GT following a charity event. Investigations by the Los Angeles Police Department determined that excessive speed was a contributing factor in the accident.
