He Real Madrid y Vinicius Junior have agreed to the contract extension of the Brazilian player until June 30, 2027. This was announced by the white club through its official channels, in which it highlighted the footballer’s connection to the Madrid discipline since he was 18 years old. His debut came with the reserve team when I was just 18 years old, on August 26.
In his six seasons defending the first team shirt he has played 235 games, in which he has scored 63 goals and won nine titles: a Champions League, two Club World Cups, a European Super Cup, two Leagues, a Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups.
“At 23 years old, Vini Jr. is already one of Real Madrid’s most important players in recent years. He scored the goal that gave us the Fourteenth European Cup in the final in Paris in 2022 and won the Ballon d’Or at the 2022 Club World Cup in Morocco, which Real Madrid won and which meant the eighth world title in our history“, recalls the club in its statement.
To these merits, the entity chaired by Florentino Pérez, with whom Vinicius has ratified the agreement, adds the designation as Best Young Player of the Champions League 2021-2022 or inclusion twice in the ideal 11 of the Champions League (2021-2022 and 2022-2023) and twice in the LaLiga ideal team (2021-2022 y 2022-2023).
Vinicius is the first renewal of the structural confirmation process that Real Madrid is pursuing. On the pending list are Militao (2025), Rodrygo (2025), Camavinga (2027) or Valverde (2027). As happened with Jude Bellingham, Vinicius’ future has been shielded with a termination clause of 1,000 millioncommon in the recent movements of the white secretariat.
The announcement of Vinicius’ contract extension comes after the player has received the Socrates Award at the Ballon d’Or gala. A recognition that, in its second edition – in the first it awarded Sadio Mané – recognized the social work of the Brazilian winger’s foundation.
