Wolverhampton have terminated their contract with Gary O’Neil, but have already decided who they want to replace him. The chosen one is Vítor Pereira, a Portuguese coach who leads Al-Shabab, from Saudi Arabia.
The Portuguese coach is very interested in the challenge and has already communicated this to those responsible for both parties, and the price of terminating the contract with the Arabs was the main obstacle for the agreement to go ahead. Wolves hope to get Pereira for a fee between 700 and 800 thousand euros, but Al-Shabab do not think it is enough.
Vítor Pereira, 56, already has a huge CV, having played for clubs such as FC Porto, Santa Clara, Al-Ahli, Olympiacos, Fenerbahçe, 1860 Munchen, Shanghai SIPG, Corinthians and Flamengo.
Gary O’Neil leaves Wolverhampton in 19th place in the Premier League after a season and a half.
