Vlahovic does not renew with Fiorentina and the auction officially starts. Manchester City overtakes Juventus but Tottenham also moves in the background
Dusan Vlahovic will not play for Fiorentina next season. The confirmation came directly from the patron of the Viola, Rocco Commisso. The striker who expires his contract in June will not renew and will therefore be free to change teams on a free transfer. Fiorentina, in order not to miss the opportunity of a rich collection, could decide to sell Vlahovic also in January but the asking price could slow down the negotiations. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Fiorentina is asking for no less than 90 million for the Serbian center forward.
Vlahovic Juve, the bianconeri would like to propose a Church-style operation
In the summer, Inter had made a first proposal for Vlahovic but the financial resources of the Nerazzurri club were limited. The same had been done by Atletico Madrid, who had put 55 million on the plate. Until a few days ago it seemed that Juventus were at the forefront to buy the 2000-born striker, in line with the new re-foundation project starting with the young players of the Bianconeri. The plan was to negotiate on the basis of a multi-year loan with redemption of 60 million as had already happened with Chiesa, perhaps inserting a technical counterpart. Fiorentina, however, does not give up and asks only 90 million cash. Such a request limits the action of Juventus but not that of the big Europeans.
Vlahovic: Manchester City, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid aim for the Serbian star
Perhaps as early as January we could see a real waltz of attackers. Mbappè has confirmed that he wants to leave Paris and has already packed his bags for the transfer to Real Madrid. The French to replace their star could then launch on Haaland. To date, however, it seems that the club most interested in Vlahovic is Manchester City. The English club failed to attack Kane in the summer but it is not excluded that he may have decided to wait to enter into negotiations with Fiorentina. If, on the other hand, City decides to try again with Kane, it is likely that Tottenham will choose Vlahovic as his replacement.
