Volkswagen, a leading automobile manufacturer from Germany, has announced that it has decided to launch its electric cars in the Indian market this year.
Regarding this, the company’s executive director of sales and international operations, Michael May, said: Our electrification journey in India begins this year.
We will start this journey by launching our ID.4 cars in the Indian markets. India’s passenger vehicle market is expected to grow by 5 to 7 percent this year.
He said that the company has set a target to register a sales growth of 10 to 15 percent during this period.
