Commerce Secretary Salim Uddin said,”I was overwhelmed after visiting the ATS Expo. Walton is leading the growth of the sector in Bangladesh. Walton is not only in manufacturing technology products; The country is also the best in providing after sales services. We can be proud of an institution like Walton. Many more such institutions need to be established in the country. That is why all kinds of policy support will continue to be provided to the domestic industry,” he assured.
Walton Hi-Tech’s Managing Director SM Mahbubul Alam said, “We have given more importance to the production of energy-efficient and habitat-friendly products. For this reason, huge investments have been made in product research and innovation. It is essential to develop and protect the domestic industry by formulating appropriate policies and providing necessary policy support to protect the huge investment of manufacturers. Developed countries like Europe and America also provide policies and tax support to protect local industries. The current government will also take necessary steps to protect the domestic industry,” he expressed strong optimism.
