Jakub Štáfek will play him again in the sequel called Vyšehrad². “It’s far more stunning than number one. Jakub Štáfek once again finds himself in the triple role of representative of the main character, co-director and producer. The previous film from 2022 ended with a transfer abroad. In the sequel, the hero, the extravagant footballer Lavi, gets his first taste of foreign engagement before settling in the FK Smrkov team.
Filming ended a few weeks ago in Argentina, but the crew also worked in Great Britain, the distribution company Bioscop reported this Monday. The film will be released in cinemas in the spring of 2025. “We thought that if we were to go to the second film, we had to come up with somthing new.So we expanded our narrative, humor, and entertainment a lot more,” promises director Martin Kopp.
In the summer, the crew filmed scenes, among other places, on the football field in Bořislav in Teplice. The creators then said that they started thinking about the sequel right away in 2022.
“After the success in the cinema, we sat down at the machines and started writng. It took two years before we had the final version of the script,” said Štáfek. “We drew a lot of things from what is happening in the football surroundings, so the topics are actually written by someone else. the trick was to be better than the last performance, when the bar is relatively high. But I dare to say that the number two is more mature than number one,” adds the representative of the main role.
Stáfek admits to being inspired by the films of Ben Stiller and Adam Sandler. “We want to make entertainment, entertain people. For me as an actor, this project is similar to the Jackass series. I have to admit that I was hurt a lot on the set,” adds the actor with exaggeration. Along with Jakub Štáfek, Šárka Krausová, Lukáš Vaculík, Václav Neužil, Filip Březina, Adam ernest and Patrik Kutil perform in the new film.
