The Ministry of Transport announced that it will continue to return the national carrier’s grounded aircraft to service.

A statement from the Ministry’s media office, received by the (INA), said, “The Director General of Iraqi Airways, Manaf Abdel Moneim, under the guidance of the Minister, made a visit to the city of Cairo to meet with the Egyptian Company for Grounded Aircraft Maintenance.”

The statement added, “Abdel Moneim is following up on the progress of the work of rebuilding two (2) engine engines,” noting that “the next few days will witness a positive shift in the process of restarting a number of aircraft, whether through maintenance or receiving new engines that were contracted to be purchased with major aircraft.” International companies.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Transport was able earlier to return five aircraft to service, models A320, A220, MAX, CRJ900, and B737, and all of them began operating on the national carrier’s flights.
