Our national team coach, Jesus Casas, confirmed in the press conference for our team’s match against its Palestinian counterpart, which was held today, Wednesday, in the press conference hall of the Minawi Pasha Hotel, that the Mesopotamian Lions are fully prepared to meet Palestine, despite its difficulty.
Casas said in the conference attended by the (INA): “The Palestine national team is an organized team on all fronts, as it was able to achieve a point against South Korea, while our team lost two points in a previous match against Kuwait due to an arbitration error.”
Casas noted that he “analyzed the performance of the Palestinian team, which proved its strength in its previous matches,” stressing that “there are no major differences between the two teams.”
Casas confirmed that “the team does not suffer from any problems related to absences, expressing his satisfaction with the presence of 25 ready players in the team’s ranks,” adding that “Ayman Hussein is ready for the Palestine match, but we have not yet decided to include him at the beginning of the match or in the second half.”
Casas expressed his desire to invest in the presence of the fans in the next match, stressing the importance of their support, saying: “The fans must come and stand behind the team for 90 minutes, as they are an important part of the path to the World Cup.”
At the conclusion of the conference, he expressed his hope that peace would prevail in the world and that wars would end, hoping that everyone would be able to save lives in various regions of the world.
For his part, national team player Zaid Tahseen spoke in the press conference about the importance of the match in the qualifying campaign, and the necessity of grabbing its points in order to continue to lead the group and continue to be steadfast towards cutting the ticket to qualifying for the World Cup.
Tahseen said: “The readiness is complete, the focus in training has begun to be clear, and every member of the team seeks to give his best in order to achieve a positive result against the Palestine team, reinforced by a good performance.”
