jpnn.com – JAKARTA – The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) supports the United Development Party (PPP) in challenging the 2024 election results at the Constitutional Court (MK).
PDIP, as PPP’s coalition partner in the 2024 elections, is ready to provide data to the party bearing the Kaaba symbol to be attached to the Constitutional Court.
The lawsuit follows the PPP’s vote results which only reached 3.87 percent of the valid national vote.
“We will provide assistance not only in spirit, but also in the data that PPP needs, because our C1 is quite complete, so that justice is upheld,” said PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in his statement in Jakarta, Thursday (21/3).
Hasto also suspects that there was an attempt to thwart PPP from entering parliament.
According to him, this could tarnish the history of the PPP as a political party that has always sat in the DPR RI.
“Don’t let the political operations carried out cause parties which are also our neighbors, which have a long history of struggle, to have their history erased because of their ambition for power,” said Hasto.
“Don’t let this Kaaba party’s history be erased because it supports Ganjar-Mahfud. This is too much,” added Hasto.
PDIP supports PPP in challenging the 2024 election results to the Constitutional Court. Hasto emphasized that PDIP is ready to provide the data needed by PPP.
