The Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, asked the countries of the world again to recognize Palestine as an independent state within the framework of the two-state solution and work to grant it full membership in the United Nations.

Sanchez said during his participation in the meetings of the “International Socialism” conference held in the capital of Morocco, Rabat: “The Zionist occupation must be ended and the Palestinian people must be enabled to establish their independent state and East Jerusalem as its capital.”
He added: “We must end the suffering of the Palestinians and end the siege and restrictions on the lives of civilians,” emphasizing the need for “joint efforts to address the crises that getting worse in different regions of the world, especially in Palestine.
Sanchez emphasized the importance of “achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East region.”
