This becomes clear from the position of the theater to the media.
Piskov is cited by the investigators as one of the drivers of the scheme to drain the theaters in Razgrad and Smolyan. The director of the theater in Pazardzhik, Grigor Antonov, has sent reports to the Minister of Culture, “Economic Police” and the District Prosecutor’s Office in connection with possible crimes committed by Piskov.
The Plovdiv District Court did not accept the request of the now former director of the theater in Razgrad – the conductor Levon Manukyan, that his bail of BGN 50,000 be reduced. The decision is final and he has no further appeal.
Manukyan was detained by the Plovdiv “Economic Police” department a day after the arrest of Atanas Georgiev and Boris Chilov, who were caught accepting money from two men fictitiously assigned to the Razgrad Theater. According to the investigation, the director hired 41 people who never performed real work, but received about BGN 25,000 in additional material incentives. Thus, the state budget was damaged by nearly a million BGN.
