State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Muhammad Ali Arafat urged the students of this generation to move forward in the spirit of March 7.

The state minister made this call while addressing the chief guest at the function organized on the occasion of the 50th annual sports competition-2024 of Banani Vidyaniketan School and College in the capital on Thursday (March 7) afternoon.

At this time, the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting said to the students, “No one can keep Bengali in demand, Bengali cannot be kept in demand, we should move forward with this spirit.”

The state minister said that Bangabandhu had predicted in his March 7 speech that he would not be able to keep seven crore people under control. This is particularly significant. We have seen conspirators trying to keep the Bengalis in demand again and again. But Bengali comes out of all conspiracies right, head held high.

Addressing the students, the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting said that the spirit of freedom is not only to meet the five basic needs of food, clothing, shelter, medical care and education, but the spirit of freedom is to stand tall and not bow down when someone tries to demand it.

He said, Bangladesh was not like this twenty years ago. Now you have the courage to dream big. You think big now and in the coming days you will further advance Bangladesh.

At that time, Ali Arafat said, Twenty years ago, there was no metro rail, and there was no nuclear power plant in this country. Even ten years ago in this country, whole Bangladesh was not connected with electricity, ten-fifteen years ago there were no tunnels under the river in this country. Today, Bangladesh has reached space with satellites, reached the bottom of the sea with submarines, we have built a huge bridge like Padma bridge with our own money. Very few countries in the world have these things at the same time. From this it can be understood that Bangabandhu’s daughter has taken Bangladesh to a prestigious seat among the few countries. Bangabandhu has changed our status on earth.

President of the Governing Body of Banani Vidyaniketan School and College and Councilor of Ward No. 19 of Dhaka North City Corporation Bir Muktijoddha. Member of Parliament and General Secretary of Bangladesh Women’s Awami League Shabnam Jahan Shila, Deputy Police Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Rifat Rahman Shamim and others were present as special guests in the program presided over by Mofizur Rahman.
