On Monday, the day before the official start of winter, the “Carmel” rain system will arrive in the area, accompanied by strong winds that will reach up to 80 km / h, lightning, thunder and hail from the north to the Negev.
According to estimates, in some places in the country the amount of precipitation will be more than 100 mm. Heavy snow will fall and there may also be light snow on the mountain tops in the Golan Heights.
On Tuesday and Wednesday the intensity of the system will weaken, but the rain will continue to fall from time to time and there may be thunder and lightning. Temperatures are expected to remain low and rain will only stop on Thursday.
