Mike Tyson, the wildest boxer in the history of the sport, the one with the terrifying blow that felled giants, the man with the terrifying look and the arms to back him up – is the scariest legend in the history of professional sports. And this is not only due to the stressful aggression he demonstrated in the ring, but mainly because of the trolling that was his bread and butter outside of it. Now, 17 years after he retired from professional boxing (but not from the wild image) a new series presents his life story. And he’s not exactly happy about it.
“Mike” is a new 8-episode miniseries from Hulu that unfolds the “unofficial biography” of Mike Tyson. Into Mike’s stressful gloves is Trevante Rhodes, who broke out in a stunning role in the Oscar-winning film “Moonlight” and according to the trailer, it seems that the production spared neither the impressive fight photography nor Tyson’s personal life. It’s as flashy as “Pam and Tommy,” as provocative as “The Tiger King” and as wacky as only Mike Tyson can be.
However, the series was not embraced by the man himself, with over the past few months Tyson posting his opposition to the project on social media, writing among other things “Don’t let Hulu fool you. I don’t support their story of my life. They stole my life story and didn’t pay me. “. With his objection aside, it seems that at this point he does not deny events that are presented in the series (and have been published over the years in countless ways), so that you can quietly enjoy the noise that Tyson made in an invested dramatic version. Or just to see stressful blows in their strength. It’s also fun.
