These days we celebrate the 77th Independence Day, when the late founding King Abdullah Ibn Al-Hussein declared in a solemn ceremony the independence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from the yoke of British colonialism, and the Emirate of East Jordan declared the Kingdom of this independence day.

The owner of the Jordanian Al-Jazeera newspaper wrote in a special issue issued on the day of the declaration of independence on May 25, 1946, the late Tasir Dhabyan, who had been asked by His Highness Prince Abdullah in 1939 to transfer his newspaper, which was published in Damascus to Amman, to become a Jordanian newspaper that continued to be published for more than ten years. Tayseer Dhabyan said in his famous article entitled ((Al-Jazeera raises the voice of Arabism and the pleasant surprise of nationalism)) We said why tears of sorrow do not mix with tears of joy on this glorious day, and why do we not take the independence of this homeland, which enters in the garments of happiness and luxury, as an excuse to express the pain of that homeland that is firmly anchored in shackles Slavery ((Palestine)) and it is still east of the Jordan and its supreme master, the wellspring of suffering Arabism, the refuge of tormented freedom, and the sanctuary of the free.

The late Zabyan said… Who among this country is more deserving of sympathy for that sisterly neighbor, Palestine, and more deserving of its barrenness for its affliction, healing its wounds, wiping its tears, and easing its grief?
I am like you, my sister, so ask the one who releases your captivity to untie me. This verse of poetry by the late Tayseer Zabyan, the author of the article and Al-Jazeera newspaper, he sang in the name of the people in Palestine at that time, in which he describes what the conditions of Palestine and the Palestinian people were like during that period.
