After detecting the most conflictive points due to insecurity problemsmunicipal authorities implemented the program “Safe Path”which consists of repair public lighting lamps to reduce the probability of a crime.
The holder of Public Services and Urban ImageGerardo Sastré Iriarte, commented that this program was implemented by a group of women from civil society and, through DIF Cajeme, the urgent repair of six points in the city was requested.
Among these areas, he said, is the Paris and Torres street; National Army and 10th street; February 5 and 200; Golden Valley and France; Jalisco and 200; as well as Misioneros and Valle Dorado.
“These six points are junctions that were dark and are constantly used by students and workers, they are sections denounced as dangerous by Public Security and they benefited from this program, so far five of them have already been solved”he stressed.
Authorities have indicated that the 50 percent of the public lighting of the municipality is not workingwhich generates insecurity problems in various neighborhoods and public areas where people constantly go.
