The WhatsApp messenger has begun to implement the function of video messages. The duration of the “circles” is 60 seconds. In the coming weeks, the feature will become available to users. This is reported on site WhatsApp.
According to the press release, a video message will be sent in the same way as a voice message. “Press the button to switch to video mode and then hold it down to record video. You can also swipe up to record a video message without holding the button. As soon as the other person opens the video, it will automatically play without sound,” explains WhatsApp.
The service notes that “video messages are securely protected with end-to-end encryption.”
On June 15, the WABatInfo portal reported that WhatsApp began testing the function of sending video messages. This feature first appeared in the Telegram messenger. On June 8, WhatsApp announced another innovation that copies the functionality of Telegram – public channels. Their launch is planned for the “coming months”.
