Any feature will be tested before it is introduced on WhatsApp. WhatsApp has added an option to its site that allows users to control their ‘Lost Scene’ status, according to information received through the well-known WhatsApp Beta Info (WABetaInfo) to detect features that are being ‘tested’ and provide accurate information about it.
‘Lost Scene’ is a feature that reveals when a user using a WhatsApp account last logged out of the app and for how long he checked the messages he received. And even if someone has turned off the ‘Read Receipts’ feature in their WhatsApp account, this ‘Lost Scene’ will help them to know roughly whether they are seeing the message you sent.

WhatsApp has now introduced an option to disable ‘Lost Scene’ status only for certain people, with the aim of putting an end to it. This new option, which is seen as a very important privacy feature, is not clear when it will be available to all WhatsApp users. But we have information on how this works.
How does this feature work?
Available via WhatsApp iOS Beta version 22.9.0.70, this new option is available under the name ‘My Contacts Except’ under the ‘Lost Scene’ section in Apple’s Privacy Settings. According to WhatsAppAptaInfo, if you add a WhatsApp contact under a specific option, that person will not be able to see your Lost Scene status.
As mentioned earlier, this new option is currently only available under the beta version of iOS. There is no information on when it will be available to Android users. Aside from this new Lost Scene option, WhatsApp also seems to be implementing additional privacy controls in the profile photos and about sections.
